No boat at Corindi: Wooli is a valid finish
The Yuraygir coastal walk has no commercial boat at Red Rock / Corindi. Why finishing at Wooli is success, not failure — and what to book before you leave Angourie.

Unofficial guide — always verify track conditions, closures, fees and safety with NSW National Parks. Place photos are Wikimedia Commons / CC where credited — not official NPWS imagery and not live conditions.
Some stay, tour and gear links may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Park fees, official NSW National Parks camping bookings and fishing licences are never affiliated.

The decision is simple: do not treat the last river as a swim. Official coastal-walk visitor info says there is no commercial service at Corindi / Red Rock. Many first-time parties still leave a sedan at Red Rock and hope.
Wooli is a village with a boat you can actually book. If that is where the walk ends, you finished.
The decision
Book Wooli River Boat Hire before you leave (official number on the walk page and river-crossing alert: 0439 409 909 — [VERIFY]). Decide the finish car: Wooli versus Red Rock. Do not leave a 2WD at Pebbly.
If Corindi cannot be crossed safely, extract at Wooli. That is the plan, not a speech you invent at the waterline.
What official pages actually say

River-crossing contacts (still posted on alerts): Wooli 0439 409 909; Sandon 0429 520 255; Corindi / Red Rock — no commercial service. Safest crossings on an incoming tide.
The Brooms Head–Illaroo track page has listed a different Sandon number (0407 362 118). Confirm the live Sandon contact with Grafton NPWS (02 6641 1500, weekdays) before you walk. Numbers change.
Plan B on the last day
Grade 5 Wooli–Red Rock is 15.5 km, 5 hrs 30 min–6 hrs 30 min, isolation, Station Creek wade, Pebbly country. If the boat is cancelled or the tide window is wrong, stay in Wooli.
Support drivers use the three road zones. There is no shuttle. There is no vehicle ferry.
Who this is for
Anyone booking Angourie to Red Rock as a badge. Anyone who has not yet phoned a boat. Anyone confusing Pebbly Beach (Yuraygir) with Murramarang.
Failure modes
No boat booked → you do not start the last segment. Fix: Wooli phone first, then camps.
Finish car at a 4WD-only pin → a sedan recovery. Fix: Wooli or Station Creek 2WD-typical parking.
Official vs this page
Boats, tides and track status are live official problems. This page only names the finish rule official pages already imply.
FAQ
Tap a question to expand the answer.
Is finishing at Wooli cheating?
No. Official notes say there is no commercial boat at Corindi / Red Rock. Stopping when the crossing is unsafe is competence.
Do I need a walk permit?
Current official baseline: no walk permit beyond vehicle entry. Book camps separately. Trip Intention Form recommended. [VERIFY] any future change on NPWS.
