Where you start

Illaroo picnic area

Official start is Illaroo picnic area. Limited reception. Link with Rocky Point if you want more headland.

How to get there

  1. Central park roads from the Wooli / Minnie Water turn-off. Vehicle entry applies.

  1. Walk the signed grove return. Stay on track. Optional link to Rocky Point walking track.

When to use this walk

Official: 1.2 km return, Grade 3, 30 min–1 hr from Illaroo picnic area. A woodland contrast when swell closes rock platforms or the headland is too hot.

Link with Rocky Point walking track if you want more headland. Stay on track. Limited reception.

Pairing

Good Plan B after a Wilsons Headland morning if energy remains. Do not treat it as Freshwater — that start is at Pebbly.
